BHOPAL: Drones are transforming industries worldwide, and Madhya Pradesh is ready to lead this transformation with the recently launched Madhya Pradesh Drone Promotion and Usage Policy 2025. This is not just another policy – it is a game-changer, designed to position the state as India’s most forward-looking drone innovation hub, according to the state government.

Madhya Pradesh’s approach is unique. While other states focus on drone adoption, MP is building the entire drone value chain—from design and manufacturing to skilling, R&D, and real-world deployment.

The policy supports Drone System Design and Manufacturing (DSDM) enterprises, ensuring companies engaged in drone hardware, embedded software, electronic components, and UAV production find a growth-centric ecosystem.

Additionally, Drone Enabled Services (DeS) will thrive under this policy, with incentives for companies leveraging drones in agriculture, infrastructure, security, and public governance.

One of the standout features of the policy is its commitment to skilling and workforce development. MP will establish Drone Schools of Excellence, integrate drone-related courses into technical institutions, and offer industry-aligned training in areas like AI-powered drone analytics and UAV swarm intelligence.

Furthermore, the state’s extensive use of drones in governance, including land surveys, disaster management, and healthcare logistics, provides a real-world testbed for drone enterprises.

The incentives are unparalleled – from capital subsidies, R&D grants, and patent filing assistance to lease rental support and customized incentives for mega projects. With simplified regulations, Madhya Pradesh is making it easier than ever for drone companies to set up, scale, and innovate, the government says.

With this policy, Madhya Pradesh is not just embracing drones – it is defining the future of India’s drone economy. The state invites global drone manufacturers, startups, and tech innovators to be part of this journey. The sky is no longer the limit – it’s just the beginning, it added.
