Comic Con India has evolved from a small, niche event for comic book fans, to a nationwide cultural sensation.

Now in its 12th year, it serves as a vibrant platform that bridges various aspects of pop culture, bringing them together in one space. It started out in 2011 as a passion project for founder Jatin Verma. It celebrates comics, anime, gaming, and pop culture.

With existing events in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, in 2024 it has expanded to three new cities: Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune.

This year’s Delhi edition of Comic Con was held between December 6-8 at NSIC Ground. The edition delivered an extraordinary Cosplay experience. The event featured participants who brought characters from comics, anime, and other aspects of pop culture to life.

The Hindu caught up with some of these characters and also spoke to the founder of Comic Con.
