Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued orders to Vodafone India under Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018.
The regulatory authority has levied financial disincentives of ₹ 33,31,000/-, ₹ 5,93,000/-, ₹ 8,14,000/-, and ₹ 6,82,000/- for the quarters ending March 2023, June 2023, September 2023, and December 2023, respectively.
The order was levied on the grounds of failure to curb the Unsolicited Commercial Communications (UCC) sent through the Company’s network for the complaints as required under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, for the quarters ending March 2023, June 2023, September 2023 and December 2023.
“The Company is reviewing the Orders and evaluating the next steps in this matter,” Vodafone India said in an exchange filing.
The disclosure before the exchange was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
