An ‘X’ user shared the screenshots of the total number of views the ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’ song had received on the platform and wondered if the song had really got 3 million views in an hour. The user questioned whether this was done with the help of bots. The YouTube team responded in a timely manner and wrote, “We have a system in place to verify engagement metrics (likes, views, subs) if they’re from a legitimate traffic source. The lyrical video of ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’ is designed like a farewell tribute to the career and legacy of Thalapathy Vijay. The sudden spike in the numbers were earlier attributed to the fuzz surrounding the film and the emotional prospect of seeing their favorite star dance for the final time. The song even uses the hook line ‘one last dance’ to drive home this point. The official handle of Youtube concluded by adding, “To maintain a fair & positive experience across YouTube, we have systems that verify if views are valid & should be counted!”
Jana Nayagan has a musical score by Anirudh Ravichandar, while Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol appear in major supporting roles. The film will be hitting theatres on January 9, 2026.
