In a significant administrative shake-up, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 23 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including the District Magistrates (DMs) of 10 districts and several Divisional Commissioners. The reshuffle, announced late on Monday night, includes high-profile changes in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad and Ayodhya.
Among the key changes, Medha Roopam, DM of Kasganj, has been appointed the new DM of Gautam Buddh Nagar, replacing Manish Kumar Verma, who will now serve as the DM of Prayagraj. Ravindra Kumar Mandar, the current DM of Prayagraj, will take over as the new DM of Ghaziabad.
Deepak Meena has been posted as the new DM of Gorakhpur, replacing Krishna Karunesh. Akshay Tripathi, DM of Lalitpur, has been appointed the new DM of Bahraich, replacing Monika Rani. Pranay Singh will assume charge as the new DM of Kasganj, while Amandeep Duli will become the new DM of Lalitpur.
Priyanka Niranjan, currently DM of Mirzapur, will now serve as the DM of Gonda, replacing Neha Sharma. Pawan Kumar Gangwar has been appointed the new DM of Mirzapur.
In another significant move, Rajesh Kumar has been appointed as the new Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, replacing Gaurav Dayal, who has been made Secretary in the Home and Vigilance Department.
Ministhy S., Secretary in the Finance Department, has been appointed as the new Cane Commissioner, while Sarika Mohan, Secretary in the Basic Education Department, has been named Finance Secretary.
Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, the current Cane Commissioner, will now serve as Secretary in the Social Welfare Department. Alok Singh, DM of Kanpur Dehat, has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Estate Department and RSA.
Additionally, Amrit Tripathi, CEO of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) in Jhansi, has been appointed Secretary in the Higher Education Department. Vimal Kumar Dubey, Divisional Commissioner of Jhansi, has been given additional charge as CEO of BIDA.
Prranata Aishwarya, Special Secretary in the Namami Gange project, has been appointed as the new Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Sitapur. Jaynath Yadav, Joint Director in the Disabled Empowerment Department, will now serve as Special Secretary in the APC Branch.
This reshuffle is seen as part of the Yogi Adityanath-led government’s efforts to streamline administration and enhance governance across the state.
