Spl Secretary Information & Communications Technology and Cooperation (Independent Charge), Mizoram termed uniform e-Governance standards as an important need of the hour so as to achieve desired goals towards technology implementation across the board in all states of the nation. Such issues were covered during two day State-Level Awareness Workshop & CBT on e-Governance Standards & Guidelines from 20th to 21st December 2024 in Agartala, Tripura.
Amit Sharma, who is ICT & Cooperation Secretary of Mizoram was invited as a Special Guest, played a key role in creating awareness amongst august gathering of multiple stakeholders in Agartala about the critical contributions to be made in future for public awakening about cyber crimes, deep fake, financial frauds, digital arrest and many such subjects wherein he got an overwhelming response.
Amit emphasised that these kinds of workshops must be held on a regular basis especially in North Eastern states, who are constantly pushing towards implementing e-Governance reforms and the CDAC team led by Karimullah Shaik, Scientist G, C-DAC Pune declared that the next series of this Workshop shall be held in Aizawl, capital of Mizoram, within next couple of months.
He appreciated the support of MeitY Director Santosh Pandey, who represented the IT Ministry here and he gave his valuable inputs towards bringing uniformity in e-Governance Standards and Guidelines for their effective implementation all across the nation.
Apart from this, Amit Sharma also shared various perspectives relating to Standardization of e-Governance Standards and Guidelines, which is one of the important subsets of Ek Bharat – whole of Government convergence project as a part of ongoing IT-related reforms all across the nation.
The organisers expressed deep gratitude to ICT Secretary Mizoram Amit Sharma who could make it to Tripura at such a short notice to attend this important MeiTY led C-DAC Workshop in Agartala and enlightening the stakeholders towards making relentless efforts for standardisation of e-Governance practices in North Eastern States.
