
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma along with representatives from the Army, Navy and Air Force paying homage to fallen heroes on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held in Hyderabad on Saturday to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas, honouring the memory of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War.
Organised by the Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA), the ceremony took place at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Secunderabad, with full military honours.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma paid homage by laying a wreath in the presence of representatives from the Army, Navy and Air Force. Later in the day, a commemorative event was held at Raj Bhavan, where the Governor presided as the chief guest. Organised jointly by Raj Bhavan and the TASA Command, the ceremony included tributes to the courage and resilience of the Indian Armed Forces.
In his address, the Governor reflected on the heroism of soldiers like Captain Vikram Batra and the 526 personnel who made the supreme sacrifice.
