Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked the urban development officials to expedite the process for the cable-stayed bridge being built on the Miralam tank.
At a review meeting with the Municipal Administration and the GHMC officials on Saturday, Mr. Revanth Reddy directed the officials to complete the detailed project report for the project within 90 days. He also gave a deadline of 30 months for completion of construction of the bridge.
He envisioned the bridge to be developed as the most prominent destination in the city. He directed the officials to design the bridge’s environs keeping children in mind. Officials came up with three proposals for the construction of the 2.425 kilometre bridge.
Mr. Revanth Reddy also issued instructions for a deeper perusal of the new flyover proposals for the city. He also made several suggestions with regard to road widening, and asked the officials to come with comprehensive information within two days.
