
TDP former MLA Palla Simhachalam died while undergoing treatment for age-related ailment in a hospital in Visakhapatnam.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) former MLA Palla Simhachalam, father of TDP Andhra Pradesh unit president, Palla Srinivasa Rao, passed away in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (June 7, 2025).
The 93-year-old died while undergoing treatment for age-related ailment in a private hospital in the city.
Known as a loyalist to TDP founder and former Chief Minister of undivided A.P., N.T. Rama Rao, Palla Simhachalam was active in politics during the 80s. He was Visakhapatnam II MLA from 1994 to 1999.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the demise of the former MLA. He spoke to Mr. Srinivasa Rao over telephone. He recalled the services rendered by the former MLA to the TDP. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan expressed condolence. Expressing grief, IT Minister Nara Lokesh recalled that Palla Simhachalam had been serving the TDP since 1989.
Ministers Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Nadendla Manohar, Kolusu Parthasarathy and other people’s representatives condoled the demise of the TDP leader.
Home Minister V. Anitha and local MLAs visited the bereaved family. The final rites of the former MLA will be held on June 8.
