Take a closer look at Rani Mukherji’s ‘ADIRA’ necklace here

Rani Mukerji’s stellar performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway won her the National Award for Best Actress, a grand honour bestowed upon her by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on  September 23, 2025. For the special occasion, the Bollywood actor chose a stunning brown Sabyasachi silk sari, but what caught the internet’s attention was the custom gold chain with her daughter Adira’s name adorning her neck.

Rani, who shares Adira with her husband and filmmaker, Aditya Chopra, is a proud mother of the ten-year-old, and her heartfelt gesture was a nod to the deep love she has for her child. She kept her look for the ceremony traditional yet chic — with sleek hair, a choker, heavy earrings, defined brows, a tiny bindi and chocolate lips.

Her acting prowess shone through in Mrs Chatterjee vs. Norway, which explored the story of Debika Chatterjee (Rani Mukerji), an Indian woman living in Norway with her family, as she fought to regain custody of her children after Norwegian authorities took them away from her.
