Yesterday, a vehicle carrying youths from Mahanpur in Kathua to Madhopur(Punjab) for the TA (Territorial Army) recruitment process lost control and was overturned. Approximately ten individuals sustained injuries in the accident. All the injured were promptly transported to GMC Kathua, where they received first aid. Two of the seriously injured were later referred to the Medical College of Jammu.
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high speed when the driver lost control, leading to the accident. Local residents quickly arrived at the scene to assist with rescue efforts and helped transport the injured to the hospital.
The administration has launched an investigation into the incident, and the families of the injured youths have been notified. The accident, which occurred while the youths were eagerly anticipating their participation in the TA recruitment, has created a somber atmosphere in the area.
