Jammu, Sep 20: A soldier died while six others were injured when an Army vehicle, they were travelling in, fell into a gorge along Sukrala Mata Ashram road in the Billawar area of Kathua district on Friday.
Officials said that the vehicle was on its way to Macheddi from Billawar when it plunged into a 300-feet deep gorge.
“A soldier, identified as Ram Kishore, died on the spot while six others sustained injuries in the accident. All the injured were rushed to Sub District Hospital Billawar and later they were shifted to Pathankot Military Hospital,” officials said.
