Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 8: Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s grand Eid release Sikandar opened to a lukewarm response at the box office. It failed to receive the frenzy associated with a Salman Eid release, impacting its trajectory at the box office. After eight days, Sikandar has finally managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark domestically. As per a report in Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 4.50 crores on Sunday, seeing a growth of 14.29 percent. The total net India collection of Sikandar in India after one week is Rs 102.25 crores.
Over the weekend, the film managed to pick up a little, however, it continued to earn in single digits, which is unheard for for a Salman Khan starrer. The film’s gross collection in India so far stands at Rs 116.15 crores. Worldwide, Sikandar has earned Rs 161.5 crores, and overseas the film has collected Rs 45.35 crores. As per official figures announced by the makers, Sikandar has earned a total of Rs 187.84 crores. On its seventh day 7, the film’s gross India collection was Rs 6.18 crores and gross overseas collection was Rs 3.5 crores.
The Salman Khan film also saw a spike in its overall occupancy on Sunday. On its eighth day, Sikandar’s overall occupancy was 11.50 percent, but its total number of shows reduced further. On Sunday, the film had a total of 4406 shows running in India, down from 8000 shows that it had upon release. While the number of shows were reduced to 6900 on day 3, the number was 5444 on Saturday.
The film has its highest occupancy of 17.75 percent in Chennai with 78 shows, followed by Hyderabad, where the occupancy was 14.75 percent with 230 shows. Jaipur was also leading in terms of occupancy with 14.50 percent, with 160 shows. The film’s occupancy in Mumbai was 12.50 percent with 666 shows, and in Delhi NCR it was 10.50 percent with 1061 shows.
Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Nadiadwala and Grandsons and Salman Khan Films. Other than Salman and Rashmika, the film also stars Anjini Dhawan, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in important roles.
