Farah Khan and her beloved cook Dilip have once again taken over the internet, and fans can’t get enough. Known for their quirky banter and effortless chemistry, anything featuring the duo is bound to go viral. This time, it’s Farah’s latest Instagram reel that has the internet in splits. In the video, Dilip is seen dancing to “Badli Si”, the newly released track from The Ba***ds of Bollywood, which marks the directoral debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. The song has already caught attention, but it’s Dilip’s moves, and the comments they sparked, that have become the real headline.
None other than Shah Rukh Khan dropped a cheeky comment on the post, praising Dilip’s dancing skills and playfully calling out Farah Khan for never giving him such steps in his entire three-decade-long career. “You should apologise, because in 30 years of directing me, you haven’t given me any dance steps as wonderful as what Dilip is doing. Still love you,” Shah Rukh wrote.
Farah, never one to back down from a witty exchange, responded in true Farah Khan style: “Let’s see if Dilip can do this on top of a train.” The comment was a clear nod to the iconic “Chaiyya Chaiyya” song from Dil Se, in which Shah Rukh Khan danced atop a moving train, choreographed by none other than Farah herself.
In the reel, Farah Khan is also seen mock-apologizing to both Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan, saying, “I apologise Aryan, I apologise Shah Rukh… The song is superb though. Go watch it, guys!”
While Aryan’s much-anticipated series is set to release next month, fans will remember that this isn’t Dilip’s first brush with the superstar. Just a few months ago, he featured alongside Shah Rukh in a light-hearted advertisement that was equally hilarious, and clearly, he’s becoming quite the fan-favorite.
