Srinagar, Nov 10: In a moment of golfing excellence that will be remembered at the Royal Springs Golf Course, Shabbir A Gora achieved the golfer’s ultimate dream – a spectacular hole-in-one. The remarkable feat occurred today at the pristine Royal Springs Golf Course, nestled in the scenic Cheshmashahi area of Srinagar.
The historic shot took place at Hole Number 2, where Shabbir Gora’s perfectly executed stroke sent the ball on an impeccable trajectory directly into the cup. Witnesses to this extraordinary achievement included his playing partners Javid Ahmad Bhat, Javid Burza, and Farooq Gillani, who were among the first to congratulate him on this rare accomplishment.
“A hole-in-one is every golfer’s dream, and to achieve it at Royal Springs makes it even more special,” said one of the club officials. The Royal Springs Golf Course, known for its challenging layout and breathtaking backdrop of the Zabarwan Hills, has seen its fair share of excellent golf, but hole-in-one achievements remain a rare distinction.
The odds of an amateur golfer scoring a hole-in-one are approximately 12,500 to 1, making this achievement particularly noteworthy. Gora’s feat has now been officially recorded in the club’s registry of holes-in-one, joining an elite group of golfers who have accomplished this remarkable feat at this prestigious course.
