Mendhar, Nov 27: Security forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation following reports of suspicious movement near the Line of Control in Poonch district.
According to security officials, Rashtriya Rifles personnel, along with police, laid siege to the forests and adjoining villages of Bihari Rakh in Mendhar sector.
The action was taken after the suspicious movement of some persons, suspected to be militants, was reported.
