Srinagar, February 18: Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo Tuesday said the government will take action against schools that are found playing the career of students.
Speaking to the reporters, Itoo as per the news agency KNO said, “It is very unfortunate that some eligible students could not appear in annual regular board exams of 10th standard due to the lackadaisical approach at some levels.”
The education minister said that the government had initiated an inquiry into the matter. “Enquiry committee in this regard has been constituted and whosoever will be found guilty will face action. Playing with the career of students is unacceptable.”
“We will try to do whatever is feasible for the eligible students who couldn’t appear in Class-10 exams,” Itoo said.
The Minister further said, “Textbooks of 70-80 percent have almost reached the district levels and before the culmination of winter break, 100 percent of books will reach the students.”
