Salman Nizar will lead Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket tournament. The team was announced at the end of the preparatory camp in Wayand. The selectors have included Aditya Sarwate, M.D. Nidheesh as backup bowlers in the squad. Sanju Samson, who didn’t attend the preparatory camp, has not been included in the squad. Sachin Baby, who didn’t recover from the groin injury, has not been picked.
Kerala is in group E along with Baroda, Tripura, Bengal, Delhi, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. Kerala begins its campaign against Baroda on December 23.
