Jammu, Mar 23: National Conference (NC) Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today welcomed the constitution of a House Committee by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Mr Abdul Rahim Rather to examine the alleged mismanagement of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Union Territory.
According to a press release, he was addressing a one day convention of Block JIB Thathi at Chak in Udhampur .
Sadhotra termed the decision as a step in the right direction, hoping that the committee will thoroughly investigate the irregularities and hold the wrongdoers accountable. He emphasised that the mission, aimed at providing clean and safe drinking water, must be implemented efficiently and transparently to truly benefit the poor needy people of Jammu and Kashmir.
