Doda, Feb 18: JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra today urged the central government to keep its promises and commitments by restoring statehood to J&K and powers to the elected government.
According to a press release he was addressing a party rally in Doda. Karra said that centre had committed before supreme Court to grant statehood very soon and also on the floor of parliament over five years ago. “ But neither very soon is being understood nor the appropriate time, being quoted time and again by centre and BJP leaders is understood by the people since statehood is not restored so far,”he said.
JKPCC President alleged that this is cruel joke with the people as well as democracy and constitution by BJP led centre .More than four months after elected government, the required powers and promised statehood is not being restored, he added.
