Every year, Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor make it a point to come together for Vinayaka Chaturthi. This year too, the Animal star accompanied his mother at the Ganesh visarjan and was seen holding a murti of Lord Ganesha in his hands while chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya.” Videos and photos of the mother-son duo at a Ganesh visarjan are now doing the rounds on social media.
The photos show Ranbir dressed in a blue and white pathani suit, while Neetu was seen in a white-beige salwar suit set. In the clips, Neetu was seen instructing the staff while Ranbir continued chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya.” The two walked through the crowd to perform the visarjan and an aarti together. Throughout the procession, the Barfi actor was seen holding his mother close and being protective of her amid the heavy crowd. The duo also posed for the paparazzi and were surrounded by bodyguards. While Ranbir and Neetu participated in the visarjan, Ranbir’s wife, Alia Bhatt, and their daughter, Raha, were not spotted with them.
Meanwhile, just a few days ago, Alia had slammed publications and Instagram accounts for publishing videos of her under-construction home in Mumbai. She took to Instagram and wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online. A video of our home – still under construction – has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue.”
Calling it unlawful, she further added, “Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’ – it’s a violation. It should never be normalized.”
On the work front, Ranbir will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus Ramayana. The film also stars Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, Amitabh Bachchan, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta and several others in key roles. He also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War in the pipeline.
