At a promotional event in Mumbai, Nagarjuna, who plays the main antagonist in Coolie, shared his experience of working on the film. “The experience of working with Rajnikanth sir has been nothing short of fantastic. Rajni sir’s guidance on set, his charisma, and aura were all just really great,” he said. While details of his role remain confidential, the trailer suggests he may be facing off directly with Rajinikanth’s character, ‘Deva’. Nagarjuna added, “Rajini sir helped with the Tamil dialogues and really guided me. It was really nice of him. Even though I played a negative character in the film, my takeaway has been very positive in making this film.”
One mystery that continues to intrigue fans is the identity of the lyricist credited as “Heisenberg,” responsible for the songs “I Am The Danger” and “Mobsta.” The name has previously appeared in films like Leo, Jawan, Vettaiyan, and Vikram, all with music by Anirudh Ravichander. At the Mumbai event, Anirudh addressed the speculation, saying: “Lokesh and I will take that Heisenberg secret to the grave. Nonetheless, I must admit that he is a very talented person. All the songs that he’s done for us have worked out really well, including ‘Mobsta’ and ‘I Am The Danger.’ Let’s keep (Heisenberg’s identity) a secret; that’s only for us to know.”
Anirudh also praised Shruti Haasan’s performance in the film, calling it “possibly the finest of her career.” Shruti added that the film offered her immense growth as an actor and highlighted its “very strong feminine quotient.” She shared that many will emotionally resonate with her character, Preethi. While Coolie is poised for a record-breaking weekend at the box office, the real test lies in the film’s story and how Rajinikanth has been portrayed. Despite clashing with YRF’s much-hyped War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, Coolie is far ahead in both advance bookings and media buzz.
