The Rajasthan government on Monday outlined progress under 25 flagship programmes implemented through central schemes and state funding. These schemes run across rural and urban development, agriculture, health, women’s development, housing, energy, water conservation, skill training, and the welfare of vulnerable groups.
The government has included several initiatives focused on women’s development. Under the Lado Incentive Scheme, financial assistance is provided to girls from birth through different stages of education.
Training-based initiatives such as Namo Drone Didi, Solar Didi, Lakhpati Didi, Bank Sakhi, Krishi Sakhi, and Pashu Sakhi aim to support women’s income generation.
For vulnerable groups, the Chief Minister Swanidhi Scheme provides short-term loans in urban areas to unorganised workers, including construction workers, gig workers, transport workers, care workers and domestic workers. The Food Security Portal has been reopened to update beneficiary lists by removing ineligible names and adding eligible families. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), housing support is being provided to economically weaker sections.
Health infrastructure is being expanded under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, including new health centres, critical care hospitals and laboratories. In the energy sector, the state is implementing different components of the PM-KUSUM scheme, involving the installation of solar power plants up to 2 MW, the deployment of standalone solar pumps up to 7.5 HP, and the solarisation of existing agricultural pumps. Work is also underway under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme to strengthen electricity distribution.
Environmental initiatives include the Harialo Rajasthan mission, which aims to plant 50 crore saplings over five years. The “Karmabhoomi se Matribhumi” campaign focuses on groundwater recharge structures with support from donors and NRIs. Under the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan 2.0, water-harvesting structures are being constructed in more than 4,700 villages.
In rural development, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana aims to reduce poverty in selected villages. Cement concrete roads are being constructed under Atal Pragati Path in rural towns with populations above 5,000, and road connectivity is being expanded under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Housing support is provided to rural families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), and household tap connections are being delivered under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Support to farmers includes subsidies for fencing, farm ponds, greenhouses, shade nets, mulching, and drip and sprinkler systems under the Prime Minister Agriculture Irrigation Scheme. Landless agricultural labourers are being provided small agricultural tools. Under the SVAMITVA scheme, drone-based surveys are enabling issuance of property cards.
In education, the Chief Minister Educated Rajasthan Campaign has been included as a flagship initiative. Atal Gyan Kendras are being established at the gram panchayat level to offer skill training to rural youth. Urban development initiatives include waste and sewage management under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and drinking water supply improvement under the AMRUT scheme.
The state has also launched the Panch Gaurav programme to promote local products and tourism assets. Under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, traditional artisans receive certificates, identification cards, toolkits and concessional loans.
