Rajasthan’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, held a meeting in Jodhpur on Friday with local entrepreneurs and departmental officials to discuss key aspects of industrial development. During the meeting, he shared the state government’s upcoming plans and policy proposals for the sector.
Col. Rathore said the state is working on an industrial policy framework based on the principles of circular economy, which emphasises the reuse of resources to reduce waste and improve sustainability in industrial processes.
He announced that new industrial parks with basic infrastructure will be developed in the state to attract investment and create employment opportunities. These parks will be developed to support various sectors and encourage regional growth.
The minister stated that the government is exploring a zero tax regime under RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation). The proposal involves reinvesting all revenue from RIICO back into industrial infrastructure development. According to him, this policy change is aimed at improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the industrial ecosystem in the state.
