Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the government is committed to improving the lives of people by ensuring that every village, every hamlet, and every individual receives essential services. He emphasised that the state government is working with a vision to build a strong and prosperous Rajasthan.
Sharma was addressing a gathering on Monday at a ceremony held in Dungarpur village of Lalsot assembly constituency in Dausa district. During the event, he inaugurated the Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project by pressing a remote button. He noted that due to abundant rainfall, reservoirs across the state have filled up, and Isarda Dam has also seen substantial water inflow.
As part of the Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project, around ₹350 crore will be spent in Lalsot to construct 8 clean water reservoirs, 5 pumping houses, and 47 overhead tanks. Additionally, the project includes laying a 280-kilometre rising main pipeline, more than 200 kilometres of main pipeline, and 1,360 kilometres of VDS pipeline. These works are expected to be completed by 2027 and will provide clean drinking water to approximately 5.58 lakh people across 302 villages, as well as to about 69,000 residents of Lalsot town.
The Chief Minister also announced that other development projects worth over ₹120 crore have been approved for the Lalsot assembly constituency. To find long-term solutions to drinking water and irrigation issues, the state government has undertaken several initiatives including the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, and Mahi Dam Scheme. Sharma mentioned that ₹8,496 crore has been spent to provide additional irrigation facilities in 82,964 hectares. He further assured that the government aims to provide daytime electricity to farmers by the year 2027.
₹116 crore budget allocation for Lalsot assembly constituency
CM Sharma informed that a budget allocation of ₹116 crore has been made for the Lalsot assembly constituency and that related projects are being expedited. Work orders have already been issued for the renovation and widening of SH-24 to NH-11AE via Nangal Mod, and the Devli Road–Lalsot Bypass. Road renovation and widening is also underway from NH-148 Dungarpur Mod to Dob via Haripura, and from Lalsot to Khatwa.
The Lalsot Municipality has been upgraded to a Municipal Council. Additionally, Shyampura Primary Health Centre has been upgraded to a Community Health Centre, and the Girls’ College in Lalsot has been upgraded to a postgraduate institution.
