Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will lead the ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ in Surat on October 8 to engage with people of Rajasthani origin and invite them to invest in Rajasthan. The meeting aims to strengthen connections with the Rajasthani diaspora and seek their participation in the state’s economic and developmental initiatives.
The outreach programme is part of the Rajasthan government’s effort to involve non-resident Rajasthanis living across India and abroad in the state’s growth. It also seeks to encourage wider participation in the upcoming ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’ scheduled to be held in Jaipur on December 10, 2025.
Along with the Chief Minister, Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Health and Engineering Department Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Alok Gupta, and other senior officials will be part of the state delegation, according to the official statement.
This is the second such outreach event, following the first held in Hyderabad two weeks earlier. The Surat meet is being organised in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the industry partner for the ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025’.
