Jammu, Jun 4: Two days ahead of the much-anticipated visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dedicate Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project to the nation and flag off Vande Bharat (VB) Express from Katra to Srinagar and back, Ministry of Railways Wednesday notified time table of VB train services between Srinagar and Jammu.
There will be only four stations between Srinagar to Jammu i.e., Srinagar; Banihal; Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Jammu Tawi.
As per an official communique, the Ministry has approved four Vande Bharat trains i.e., Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (26401/26402) and Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (26403/26404) i.e., two from Srinagar and two from Jammu.
As per the abstract timings shared in the communique, Srinagar-Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express (26402) will run daily, except Tuesday, from Srinagar at 2 pm and reach Jammu at 6.50 pm. Similarly, Srinagar-Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express (26404) will operate daily, except Wednesday, from Srinagar at 8 am and reach Jammu at 12.40 pm.
Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (26403) will run daily, except Wednesday. It will depart from Jammu at 1.20 pm and reach Srinagar at 6.00 pm. Similarly, Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (26401) will operate daily, except Tuesday, from Jammu at 6.20 am and reach Srinagar at 11.10 am.
It has been directed that these trains ìwith the repercussions as proposed by Northern Railwayî may be given effect from an early convenient date.
ìIf required, the inaugural train may be planned as a special service which should pick up its link subsequently,î it has been instructed, asking for ìensuring compliance.î
