Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani have solidified their status as global style icons by being featured in The New York Times’ “Most Stylish People of 2024” list.
Known for their opulent lifestyle, the couple became the talk of the town during their extravagant wedding festivities this past July. They’re sharing space among other industry luminaries such as Beyoncé, Zendaya, Adele, Rihanna and Ariana Grande.
The couple’s wedding celebrations were nothing short of legendary. Beginning with grand pre-wedding festivities, they hosted star-studded events that included performances by global music sensations Rihanna, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Backstreet Boys, and David Guetta. These events set the tone for the lavish wedding held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex, attended by an array of international and Bollywood celebrities.
While naming them in the list The New York Times wrote, “A red carpet. Emeralds roughly the size of Popsicles. Rihanna. Their pre-wedding celebration and nuptials had it all.”
A wedding to remember
Radhika and Anant’s wedding spanned three days and was a spectacle of grandeur. Attendees included dignitaries like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and international figures such as former British Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and even Hollywood stars like John Cena added to the event’s star power.

The pre-wedding festivities kicked off in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and later moved to Italy’s Portofino, where Andrea Bocelli serenaded guests amidst scenic coastal views.
Radhika Merchant is the daughter of industrialists Viren and Shaila Merchant, and Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani.

In addition to Radhika and Anant, The New York Times’ list also featured Alex Cooper, known for her podcast Call Her Daddy, TikToker Jools Lebron, and South Korean sharpshooter Kim Yeji. These names highlight the list’s diversity, celebrating individuals from various walks of life who have made significant style statements in 2024.
