NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called upon citizens to reinforce their dedication to protecting the environment and lauded the efforts of individuals and groups working at the grassroots to create a greener, more sustainable future.

Marking the occasion of World Environment Day, the Prime Minister shared a message on social media platform X, encouraging collective action to address environmental challenges.

“This #WorldEnvironmentDay, let’s deepen our efforts towards protecting our planet and overcoming the challenges we face. I also compliment all those working at the grassroots to make our environment greener and better,” he posted.

The Prime Minister’s message aligns with this year’s global theme, which emphasizes ending plastic pollution and promoting nature-positive solutions. His statement serves as a reminder of the importance of individual and community-level initiatives in shaping a more resilient ecological future.
