Pathik Arora joins Engie India as General Counsel, aims to tackle legal challenges in renewable energy

Pathik Arora, formerly the general counsel at Senvion Wind Technology, has assumed the role of general counsel at Engie India. With over 22 years of legal expertise in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and governance across various industries, Arora is poised to lead Engie India’s legal team as the company continues to expand its renewable energy projects.

Arora’s previous experience includes senior roles at Azure Power, Hammurabi and Solomon Advisory, and InterGlobe Hotels (Accor JV).

At Engie India, Arora will focus on supporting the company’s goals of strengthening its position as a leader in clean energy and achieving its net-zero carbon target by 2045.

In his new role, Arora aims to help Engie India mitigate risks while navigating the evolving legal and regulatory framework of the renewable energy sector.

As Engie India prepares to expand its renewable energy portfolio, Arora’s appointment is expected to play a key role in steering the company’s legal strategy.
