Parliamentary panel on Home Affairs visiting J&K from April 26

Jammu, Apr 19: Parliamentary Standing Committee (PSC) on Home Affairs is arriving on a six-day visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from April 26 to May 1, 2025.

The 31-member PSC on Home Affairs has 21 Members from Lok Sabha while 10 members are from Rajya Sabha.

BJP MP from Rajya Sabha Radha Mohan Das Agarwal is its chairman.

Its other members include Amrinder Singh Raja Warring; Anil Yeshwant Desai; Ashish Dubey; B Y Raghavendra; Chandrashekhar; Kalaben Mohanbhai Delkar; Dhairyasheel Sambhajirao Mane; Dayanidhi Maran; Jai Parkash; Jyotirmay Singh Mahato; Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar; Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni); Krishna Prasad Tenneti; Mala Roy; Hamdullah Sayeed; Naveen Jindal; Satish Kumar; Priyanka Gandhi Vadra; Saumitra Khan; Supriya Sule; Vishnu Dayal Ram all from Lok Sabha.

It also comprises Ajay Makan; Derek O Brien; G K Vasan; Haris Beeran; Kapil Sibal; Nabam Rebia; Neeraj Shekhar; Samik Bhattacharya and Sanjay Yadav, all from Rajya Sabha.

The mandate of this panel is to critically evaluate domestic policy, internal security and decision-making of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In connection with the visit of the PSC on Home Affairs, the J&K Government has appointed 25 officers as liaison officers – 10 officers for the Jammu division and 15 for the Kashmir division.

These officers will include Abhishake Abrol, Additional Secretary to the Government, School Education Department; Harpal Singh, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Sunaina Saini, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Rachna Sharma, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department; Vikas Sharma, Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Jammu; Sheetal Pandita, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj; Manisha, Personnel Officer in the Directorate of School Education, Jammu; Seema Parihar, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Gulshan Kumar, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Ajay Salaan, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department for Jammu division.

For Kashmir division, Ata-ul-Munim Tak, Additional Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department; Owais Mushtaq, Additional Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department; Nuzhat Khurshid, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Shabnam Rashid, Assistant Commissioner, State Taxes Department; Kashmir; Raeis Ahmad Bhat, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Shurjeel Ali Naiku, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Mir Zahida, Deputy Director, IMPA&RD, Kashmir; Najwan Nazki  Deputy Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kashmir; Suhail-ul-Islam, Secretary, Srinagar Municipal Corporation; Sartaj Hussain, Deputy Director, Estates, Kashmir; Mantasha Binti Rashid, Deputy Director, Rural Sanitation, Kashmir; Ajaz Ahmad Shah, awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department; Bashir Ahmad Lone, General Manager, DIC, Kulgam; Nasir Mehmood Khan, Deputy Director, Tourism, Kashmir and Syed Nadeem Iqbal Andrabi, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department will be the liaison officers for the PSC on Home Affairs.

These officers have been directed to report to the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and Jammu, on April 23, 2025, for briefing on their roles and responsibilities.
