Param Sundari box office collection day 1 early estimates: Param Sundari, which was originally scheduled to release on July 25, had to shift its date following the unprecedented success of Saiyaara. The storm created by the Mohit Suri film didn’t just push Param Sundari but also forced the makers of Son of Sardaar 2 to reschedule. While Son of Sardaar 2 released a week later and crashed badly, Param Sundari was pushed to the end of August. Unfortunately, the delay doesn’t seem to have worked in its favour.
Despite being Sidharth Malhotra’s first theatrical release in two years after Yodha, Param Sundari has had a disappointing start at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned only Rs 4.32 crore as of 8 pm on its opening day, recording an overall occupancy of just 10.64%. This underwhelming performance comes despite the film securing as many as 4,908 shows across India.
Directed by Tushar Jalota, best known for helming Abhishek Bachchan’s Dasvi, the film has been produced by Maddock Films, the banner behind commercial successes like Stree and Munjya. Yet, even with strong backing, the film’s numbers have fallen far below expectations.
Interestingly, the collections are still higher than War 2, which has earned a meagre Rs 33 lakh on its 16th day. The film stars actors Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.
Param Sundari’s opening day collections are likely to surpass Sidharth Malhotra’s previous release, Yodha, which earned Rs 4.1 crore on Day 1 and wrapped up with a worldwide total of Rs 53.5 crore, a commercial disappointment. Despite delivering a memorable digital hit with Shershaah on Amazon Prime Video, the actor has struggled to replicate that success on the big screen. His last clear box-office hit remains Kapoor & Sons (2016), which opened at Rs 6.9 crore and went on to gross Rs 143.4 crore worldwide.
Meanwhile, Sidharth’s Param Sundari co-star Janhvi Kapoor is also in pursuit of her breakout commercial hit. While she has earned praise for her performances in Gunjan Saxena, Mili, and Mr & Mrs Mahi, she has yet to deliver a major box-office success.

Advance booking trends had hinted at a stronger opening for Param Sundari, with estimates around Rs 9 crore. However, it needs to be seen if the film sees any highs in the coming days.
