India has invited US financial leaders to invest in the country and experience its talent and market, noting that the upcoming AI Summit being hosted by Delhi will provide opportunities for US firms to co-create the future of equitable AI.

India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Kwatra addressed the CNBC CFO Council Summit this week in Washington and shared his thoughts about the India-US bilateral partnership, which encompasses all human economic endeavours.

“Highlighted India’s outlook towards AI development and deployment. Briefed the CFOs on the AI summit in India next year; and invited them to invest in India and experience the scale, talent and market that the Indian economy offers,” Kwatra said in a post on X.

As per CNBC, the CFO Council is a members-only body that provides peer-to-peer connections and convenes to address pressing issues facing Chief Financial Officers today.

The 2025 CNBC CFO Council Summit brought together members, expert speakers, and media to explore complex financial topics, it said.

The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 will be held in New Delhi on February 19-20, focusing on the principles of ‘People, Planet, and Progress’.

The Summit, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit, will be the first-ever global AI summit hosted in the Global South.

Kwatra also addressed a pre-summit event organised by Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), a leading global advocate for technology, representing the world’s most innovative companies, ahead of the AI-Impact Summit in India next year.

Kwatra said the AI summit will bring together governments and top experts from across the globe to shape inclusive, responsible AI that benefits all. “For American companies, this will be a unique chance to co-create the future of open, safe and equitable AI along with India’s scale, talent & innovation.”

ITI, together with the Indian Embassy in Washington and IndiaAI Mission, an independent business division under the Government of India’s flagship programme Digital India, hosted key leaders in tech and government for a robust discussion on how AI can fuel economic growth and tech leadership.
