Mission Vatsalya Kupwara continues sports activities

Kupwara, Dec 22: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) successfully conducted the second day of sports activities for children from Child Care Institutions at PALAASH Kupwara. The event featured a diverse range of sports including volleyball, badminton, shot put, discus throw, carom, and tug of war, promoting physical fitness and team building among participants.

A statement said that the event organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), the initiative aims to foster community spirit and encourage healthy lifestyles among the children. Participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the competitions.

Hidaitullah Mir, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Kupwara, attended the event and praised the children’s participation. “I commend all the participants for their enthusiasm and performance,” he said.

Mir emphasised that sports help build resilience and commitment in students, teaching them to overcome challenges and setbacks. “These lessons in perseverance translate to other areas of their lives, helping them become more determined and focused individuals,” he added.
