Srinagar, Nov 07: Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Satish Sharma on Thursday appealed Speaker J&K Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather to initiate action as per rules against BJP MLAs who disrespected the sanctity of constitution during a protest against the resolution seeking restoration of special rights to Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharma said that BJP MLAs climbed up with their shoes on tables which hold copies of the constitution. He requested the Speaker of the house to initiate action against the members of BJP involved in the crime.
“You should be punished for your actions. You climbed on tables alongwith shoes yesterday and disrespected the sanctity of Indian constitution. This is shameful incident,” Sharma said.
“If you are sincere towards people of Jammu & Kashmir, let restore the statehood and other rights & guarantees to J&K. But you have dual face… you show resistance only for camera recordings. You are being controlled remotely by your masters… you are cheating your people… Don’t spoil the precious time of this house,” Sharma replied amid ruckus in the house.
