Srinagar, Dec 25: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and chief spokesperson Mehboob Beg today remembered former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 100th birthday anniversary, saying he had understood Kashmir, and nearly clinched it with an unbiased and pragmatic view.
“Remembering Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his Birth Anniversary. Not only did he recognize the difference between being a ideologically driven ‘party man’ and being the Prime Minister ‘of India’ – he also understood Kashmir and nearly clinched the issue with an unbiased and pragmatic view. The leadership of the day would do well to take a leaf out of his book,” the PDP leader said.
