Maulana Ghulam Qadir honoured with lifetime achievement award

Poonch, Oct 8: The Federation of All Private Schools of India organized a high-level event in Srinagar, attended by prominent government and non-government officials from across Jammu and Kashmir.

During the programme, selected and distinguished private schools were honoured for their outstanding services in the field of education.

On this occasion, the Federation of All Private Schools of India—a national-level organization—conferred the ‘Lifetime achievement award’ on Maulana Ghulam Qadir, a distinguished Islamic scholar and eminent educationist, in recognition of his valuable and historic contributions to education and social welfare.

The award was received on his behalf by his son, Waheed Ahmad Bandy.

Maulana Ghulam Qadir established an educational institution nearly half a century ago in the remote and underdeveloped border district of Poonch. Under his vision, separate centres were established for religious and modern education, and schools were set up for both boys and girls.
