Beerwah, Mar 11: A 30-year-old man who was attacked by a stray dog 12 days ago in Beerwah town of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, succumbed to his injuries.
A local news gathering agency KNT reported that the incident had occurred while he was on his way to the fields when the dog attacked him.
Despite receiving treatment at SKIMS for 12 days, he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Parvez Ahmad of Hardalatana village.
The death has triggered outrage among locals, who are demanding urgent action to tackle the increasing stray dog menace.
Locals have urged authorities to implement sterilisation, vaccination, and relocation measures to prevent such attacks.
