Late Assad-ulla-Assad’s poetry book ‘Cham no mai mashaani’ released

Srinagar, Oct 21: Glowing ribute were paid to noted poet ,writer and translator Assad – ullah -Assad on his first death anniversary at an impressive literary event , organised by Jammu and Kashmir Art ,culture and lanuages in coordination  with Kashmir Concern Foundation (KCF) at Borwa ,in central kashmir Budgam, on Tuesday.

On this occasion, one more poetry book   “Cham no mai mashaani ” of late Assad- ullah-Assad was also released. The book marks thirteenth publication authored by late Assad.

Highlighting  the contribution of Late Assad- ullah in promoting and preserving the Kashmiri language and literature, patron of the kashmir concern foundation,Adv. Abdul Rashid Hanjura said that late Assad was the first to translate 340 shruks (verses of Kalami shiekh ul Alam ( RA) into persian and urdu languages, which proved very  beneficial in desseminating  Rishi philosophy of Hazrat Shiekh- ul – Aalam (  RA  ) among the persian knowing people at global level.

He has also translated Amir Khusrow  and Guru Nanak into Urdu and Kashmiri. He said the literary works of Late Assad- ullah will remain a great source of inspiration for younger generation associated with culture and literature .

Adv. Hanjura , while paying his rich tribute to late Assad Ullah said: He remained whole heatedly associated with the literary organisation Kashmir Concern foundation KCF to  serve the kashmiri  language and literature till his last breath.. He said Late poet will remain in our hearts for  forever.” Noted scholar Ghulam Nabi Haleem and Additional Commissioner Sales Taxes , Parvez Raina (JKAS ) also spoke  on the occasion and paid glowing tribute to the late writer. They said his poetry is a reflection of his soul and  thought. They urged the need to  acquint the younger generation with the mother tongue and magnificient heritage .

A detailed review of the book was presented by  Abdul Reman Lateef , Naem kashmiri , Mir Imtiyaz Afridi.  On this occaion a lively mehfile Mushaira was also held wherein prominent poets from across the Kashmir valley recited thier poems. These included, Abdul Rehman Lateef, Nayeem Kashmiri, Yaseen Driagami, Parvez Manoos,  Sarim Iqbal, Ghulam Qadir Attar, Salik Sogami, Dr Wahid Raza .The event  witnessed a graceful gathering of intellectuals, scholars, writers, poets, and literary enthusiasts.  Dr Wahid Raza conducted the proceedings with professional grace and eloquence.
