Rajouri, Aug 3: Vehicular movement along the busy Rajouri–Kotranka–Budhal road came to a halt on Sunday evening after a landslide hit the stretch near Tralla Rehan in Rajouri district.
The road, which serves as a key link between Rajouri district headquarters and Kotranka sub-division, witnessed a complete suspension of traffic from both directions following the landslide, leading to long queues of stranded vehicles.
In wake of this, 110 Road Construction Company (RCC) of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) promptly responded to the situation and launched restoration work on war footing.
According to the officials, after nearly two hours of continuous effort, the team successfully cleared the debris, restoring vehicular movement on the vital stretch.
