Srinagar Dec 9: Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) on Monday advertised 575 lecturer posts and invited applications from eligible candidates from across the J&K UT.
The posts have been advertised weeks after the School Education Department (SED) referred the positions to the JKPSC.
As per the PSC notification, out of the 575 posts advertised by the JKPSC, 238 posts have been kept for Open Merit aspirants while 337 posts have been kept reserved for candidates belonging to different reserved categories.
The eligibility criteria has been set in terms of the -Jammu & Kashmir School Education Department (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2010 issued vide SRO 481 dated December 30 of 2010, amended vide SRO-438 & 439 dated December 11 of 2015 and Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021,as amended upto date.
“The application form together with instructions for filling up the applications forms will be available on the website of the Commission from December 10 of 2024 and the candidates are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post before filling the online application form,” the notification reads.
“Candidates are advised to update their One Time Registration before filling the application Form,” it reads.
As per the notification, the last date for filling of online application complete in all respects along with the requisite fee (online mode only) has been fixed as January 9 of 2025.
“The last date for receipt of online applications provided in the notification shall be the cut-off date for determining the eligibility as regards acquisition of Domicile Certificates and educational and professional qualifications,” the notification reads.
The minimum and maximum age will however be reckoned with reference to January 01 of 2025, it reads.
As per the PSC notification, the candidates can edit some of the fields in their online application form from January 10 to 12 of 20205.
“Candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of the application form or any other documents to the Commission,” the notification reads.
Candidates have been advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection or inability to pay a fee or failure to login to the online application portal on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.
“The tentative date of examination shall be notified separately,” the notification reads.
