To counter the increasing menace of drugs among the youth and the masses as well as to prevent the abuse and growing drug addiction in the society, District Police Kathua under the “Operation Pathshala” organised “Drug Awareness Rally” against “Drugs Abuse” at Govt. Higher Secondary School Marheen, Govt Higher Sec. School Hiranagar and Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Kathua.
As a part of the Civic Action Program and to spread awareness about drug abuse in the society, Drug Awareness Program as well as Rally was organised by Kathua Police to spread the message, say No to drugs & Yes to Life in the jurisdictional area of Police Station Hiranagar, Police Post Marheen which were led by concerned police teams of respective Police Stations under the guidance of SDPO Border Dheeraj Singh Katoch, SHO PS Hiranagar, & IC PP Marheen whereas Drug Awareness Rally in the J/D of PS Kathua started from Boys Higher School Kathua under the guidance of DySP Hqrs. Kathua Manjeet Singh and SHO PS Kathua.
There was overall gathering of around one hundred individuals which included students,staff members and police officials were also actively participated.
This Civic Action Programme is part of a series of efforts under “Operation Pathshala” being made by J&K Police to spread awareness about drug abuse and addiction. The mission of Kathua Police to end DRUGS will continue in the future also.
