J&K Govt deptts asked to submit cases with financial implications early

Jammu, Oct 14: J&K Government has asked all the Administrative Departments to submit cases, involving financial implications, for concurrence of the Finance department at the early stage with all the documents relating to the litigation and the court judgement for proper appreciation and disposal of the matter.

Principal Secretary Finance Santosh D Vaidya has issued these circular instructions after noticing that the cases involving financial implications are sent to the Finance Department at a belated stage.

“The Finance Department is left with no option but to grant financial concurrence or release the funds without any option of availing legal remedy or defence in the matter,” Vaidya said.

“In order to avoid such situation, it is impressed upon all the Administrative Departments to ensure that the cases involving financial implications or concurrence may be taken up with Finance department at the early stage along with all the documents relating to the litigation like copy of writ petition along with annexures, copy of reply filed and judgement passed by the court or Tribunal for proper appreciation and disposal of the matter,” he instructed.
