JBM holds protest against rising drug menace

Jammu, Mar 2: Jammu Bachao Morcha (JBM) Sunday staged a sit-in protest at Ambphalla Chowk against the spiralling graph of drug abuse in Jammu.

While addressing the media persons during the protest dharna, Jammu (province) Bachao Morcha (JBM) chairman and ex-legislator Ashok Sharma said that the spread of drugs, particularly that of Chitta, had emerged as a scourge for the entire society and ruining hundreds of families in Jammu.

“We all need to stand united against this fight to check the spread of drugs being pumped into J&K by the neighbouring nation Pakistan to ruin our youth – who are the future of the country,” he said, appealing to the people to join hands for this cause.

JBM chief spokesperson and chief advisor Kuldeep Sharma; secretary general Gharu Ram; vice chairmen Usman Salaria, Satish Poonchi and Kamalpreet Singh; executive members and members of the civil society joined the protest dharna.
