Srinagar, May 24: The High Court of J&K and Ladakh Friday declared a 15-day summer vacation in district courts of Jammu province from June 10.
However, courts in Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban’s Batote, Gool, Banihal, and Ukhral besides Bani in district Kathua will not observe the vacation from June 10.
“It is notified for the information of all concerned that the district courts falling in the summer zone of Jammu province in Jammu and Kashmir excluding the courts located in districts Kishtwar and Doda and also the courts at Batote, Gool, Banihal, and Ukhral in district Ramban and Bani in district Kathua will observe 15 days summer vacations from June 10, 2024, to June 24, 2024 (both days inclusive),” read an order issued by Registrar General Shahzad Azeem.
According to the order, the Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates of concerned districts would make suitable arrangements for the disposal of urgent criminal business arising during the period of such vacation in the areas within their respective jurisdictions.
