NEW DELHI: In a major push to position India as a global hub for traditional medicine and holistic wellness, the Government of India has launched ‘Ayush Nivesh Saarthi’, a dedicated investor facilitation portal for the Ayush sector. The digital platform was unveiled on May 29, 2025, during the Ayush Stakeholder and Industry Interaction Meet at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.
The portal was jointly launched by Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav, in the presence of senior government officials and global industry leaders including Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha and DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia.
The Ayush Nivesh Saarthi portal, developed in collaboration with Invest India, offers a unified interface for domestic and global investors. It integrates policy frameworks, incentive schemes, investment-ready projects, and real-time facilitation tools. Officials described it as a digital gateway to India’s USD 13 billion medical value travel (MVT) sector and the rapidly growing global wellness economy.
“With 100% FDI allowed under the automatic route, this portal signals India’s openness to investment, collaboration, and innovation in holistic healthcare,” said Piyush Goyal, adding that India’s Ayush ecosystem “is rooted in deep tradition but powered by modern vision.”
Echoing the sentiment, Minister Jadhav remarked, “Ayush Nivesh Saarthi is more than a platform—it is an enabler of transformation. It brings together proactive policies, real-time data, and access to a vibrant market based on India’s wealth of over 8,000 medicinal plant species.”
The Ayush industry in India has been expanding at an annual growth rate of 17% between 2014 and 2020, with global demand for natural and preventive health solutions rising steadily. The sector is now ranked among the top five health services in India, playing a central role in the country’s health diplomacy and export-led growth.
The government views the portal as a catalyst to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), empower Ayush entrepreneurs, and boost India’s leadership in traditional healthcare. By bridging global investor interest with India’s policy infrastructure and medicinal knowledge systems, Ayush Nivesh Saarthi is expected to redefine India’s role in the global wellness and traditional medicine economy.
