The speaker line-up for the fifteenth edition of the multi-disciplinary arts festival IFP was unveiled on November 18 by the organisers. The festival returns this year to host conversations, masterclasses, performances, and cultural experiences.
The sessions will include speakers from the Indian film industry in a diverse range of topics. Abhishek Bachchan and Shoojit Sircar will be engaging in a conversation titled ‘Becoming Arjun’, speaking about their film, I Want to Talk (2024).
Shahid Kapoor will take the stage for a session centred on his craft and his connection to cinema. Parvathy Thiruvothu and Richa Chadha will be joining for a discussion titled, ‘Redefining the Everyday Heroine’.
Some of the other sessions in the Film and Streaming category include, ‘20 Questions: How I Made My First Feature’ by Aranya Sahay, Shazia Iqbal; Vaibhav Munjal Podcast LIVE ft. Siddhant Chaturvedi; ‘Being the Future of Indian Cinema’ with Adarsh Gourav, Vishal Jethwa, Nitanshi Goel, Zahan Kapoor; ‘10 Things We Learned While Contemporising Indian History’ with Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair moderated by Siddharth Basu, and ‘Behind The Scene: I Am Not an Actor’ with Aditya Kriplani and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Editor Namrata Rao will be in a conversation with Kaira in a session titled ‘How I Create Magic on The Editing Table’. Filmmakers Vasan Bala and Hardik Mehta will engage in a discussion about ‘Craft, Creativity, and Absolute Cinema’ while actors Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be talking about their upcoming film, Gustaakh Ishq with Swati Chopra in a session titled, ‘Bringing back old-school romance’.

Director Gurinder Chadha will also be discussing her film, Christmas Karma, in a session titled ‘Making of a masala musical’ and seasoned actors Adil Hussain and Neeraj Kabi will be holding a talk on ‘Sculpting realistic characters’.
The festival also features conversations and masterclasses in the category of music, culture, digital, literature, performing arts, design and photography and food. It is set to take place in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios on November 29 and 30.
