Rajouri, Jan 2: Security forces on Thursday evening recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Angralla village of Reasi district.
The recovered IED was later defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) with a controlled mechanism.
Officials said that on Thursday evening, security forces recovered a suspicious pressure cooker in Angralla Bhal and upon examination, it was found to be an IED.
“The area was cordoned and put under surveillance while a Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to the site,” said officials, adding that the IED was later destroyed using a controlled mechanism.
Police have also taken up necessary investigation into the matter.
