Srinagar, Nov 10: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Harwan area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday morning.
A top cop of police said that a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Joint operation was launched by army and police during late night hours and contact was established this morning.
“Two to three foreign terrorists trapped and heavy firing is going on,” a police official told GK.
He said that as the joint teams approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated to, triggering an encounter.
Two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
