Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasised that the upcoming Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, scheduled for November 14-15, should go beyond investment talks to include policy innovation and knowledge exchange.
Reviewing arrangements at his camp office on Sunday, Naidu said the summit should be modelled on the World Economic Forum at Davos, fostering meaningful dialogue between investors and policymakers.
Industries minister T G Bharat, chief secretary K Vijayanand, principal secretary (industries) N Yuvaraj, senior officials, and representatives of the Economic Development Board (EDB) attended the meeting. CII director-general Chandrajit Banerjee joined via video conference.
The chief minister directed that the summit should feature plenary and breakout sessions, apart from investment agreements and MoUs, for in-depth discussions on key policy areas that benefit industries, the government, and the public alike.
He proposed sessions on AI for Good, semiconductors, healthcare, innovation, R&D, space, drones, electronics, and medtech. “Discussions should also focus on smart manufacturing, supply chain linkages, quality production, logistics infrastructure, inland waterways, warehousing, cold storage, agritech, rare earth mineral value addition, clean AP, circular economy, and initiatives,” suggested Naidu.
